Black Widow and other movies to look out for this 2021

After the pandemic of 2020, there needs to be something to make people feel better and laugh together once again.

Now in 2021, there are several movies lined up for this purpose. Cinemas were closed for most of last year, and now they will be opened with a bang.

With so many different types of hosting out there, it can be difficult to understand which type is right for you. FFmpeg hosting is a very popular type of hosting, but most new webmasters are not familiar with it. Understanding what FFmpeg hosting provides will help you make the right decision for your hosting needs.

What is FFmpeg Hosting?

As the leading multimedia framework, FFmpeg provides a cross-platform software capable of streaming, converting and recording video and audio. This type of hosting comes with many benefits including:

  • Ability to support many different applications
  • High level of flexibility
  • Very user-friendly
  • Great customer satisfaction

With the right FFmpeg hosting, you will be able to do more and provide more for the users of your website.

Do you Need FFMpeg?

It’s very easy to figure out whether you need FFmpeg hosting or not. If your website will feature a video sharing options, FFmpeg plans are highly recommended. These types of websites attract a large volume of traffic and the wrong hosting will slow down your website quickly. When you use the FFmpeg framework with the right hosting company, you can run a video sharing or video hosting website without issues. This type of hosting is perfect for anybody planning to use a large amount of video or even a large amount of audio with their project.

What can You Expect From a Top FFmpeg Hosting Company?

Finding the right hosting company for your website is vital, regardless of the type of project. However, it’s even more important with video sharing websites. The right type of hosting account will provide server-based modules allowing both video and audio to be encoded, published and streamed on your website. You must look at the features of the package before you can determine if it fits with your specific project. The right hosting provider will give you all the necessary tools to use FFmpeg and their hosting services properly. You should gain access to some of the most popular tools to help with the speed of your site and the video optimization.

Which Level of Hosting Fits Best when using FFmpeg?

Not all types of hosting will fit with a video sharing or hosting website. Shared hosting packages usually don’t provide the space or speed you need when using FFmpeg. VPS and dedicated hosting packages provide a much better option. You may want to start out with a VPS web hosting package and upgrade to dedicated, as needed. Since a video sharing website will attract a large volume of traffic, if you try to use shared hosting as FFmpeg hosting, you may crash the server with your hosting company. They will most likely ask you to upgrade at this point because you will be using too much bandwidth.Starting with shared hosting may be ideal for beginners, but most will quickly outgrow this type of hosting quickly. VPS hosing is the next option and will provide you with your own resources. However, if you already have a large video sharing website or you plan to grow the traffic aggressively, you may need to start with a dedicated server for your FFmpeg hosting.

Can Any Hosting Company Provide Hosting for FFmpeg?

Not all hosting companies offer what you need for FFmpeg hosting. The right hosting company will give you the best possible support and they will offer more than just a shared hosting package. If you choose a company offering only shared hosting packages, you may need to transfer to a new company within the first few months. DirectAdmin vs cPanel

The Battle Between Two Giants – DirectAdmin vs cPanel

Hosting is a vital part of your success and when it comes to your hosting account, you need to know the best choice between DirectAdmin vs. cPanel. Both of these are control panels used for hosting and provide the administrative options for managing all the parts of your hosting account. One is certainly better than the other, but before we get to that, it’s necessary to understand what both offers.

DirectAdmin

DirectAdmin Screenshot
As a paid control panel, which requires a license, DirectAdmin is one of the best choices you will find. You need a paid control panel (most hosting companies provide one) because free control panels simply don’t give you the security and features necessary for most projects.

This is one of the easiest control panels to use and provides access to webmail, admin options, your file manager and so much more. When you login, you will notice, everything is laid out for you on one screen. This makes it easy to find what you’re looking for within the administrative area.

cPanel

cPanel Screenshot
The best control panel on the market is cPanel. Hands down, cPanel wins in the battle of DirectAdmin vs. cPanel. It’s another paid control panel and most of the best hosting companies provide cPanel with your account. The features and ease of use make this one of the best choices on the internet for beginners and advanced users.

Beginners will find cPanel easy to navigate and unlike DirectAdmin, cPanel splits the features into categories, which makes them easier to find. CPanel also provides more features and plugins than DirectAdmin does.

DirectAdmin vs cPanel

The Major Differences Between DirectAdmin and cPanel

DirectAdmin and cPanel are very similar, yet very different. They both provide a server configuration framework and UI, but DirectAdmin leaves quite a bit of the work to be done in the root shell. CPanel, on the other hand, provides nearly all the configuration and functionality within the UI. This makes it far easier to use and a better fit for just about all user levels.

Why is cPanel Free with Your Hosting Account?

When you sign up for a hosting account, you will most likely get cPanel as your control panel option. This is given to you as a feature of your package because the best hosting companies understand how powerful cPanel is compared to DirectAdmin and the other control panel options. DirectAdmin may fit with a small percentage of users, whereas cPanel fits with just about every type of user.

The popularity of cPanel drives it with the major hosting companies and it’s very inexpensive. The reputation cPanel has gained helps keep their marketing budget down, making it a very good choice for the budget conscious user.

Along with all the features and the low cost, cPanel provides plenty of online tutorials, how-to guides, forum discussions and more. Since it’s such a popular choice, helpful resources are found all over the internet whenever you have questions.

Expandability of DirectAdmin vs. cPanel

DirectAdmin is expandable, but the cost of adding additional functionality is very high. With cPanel, you can add plugins and modules very easily without much or any added cost. Along with the expandability through modules and plugins, advanced users can custom code options directly into the system.
cpanel-help

Access and Overall Usability of Both

DirectAdmin gives you multiple menu options and it’s less overwhelming than cPanel, when you first login. However, cPanel makes it easier to find the things you need and you gain a massive amount of direct access when you login. It may seem overwhelming to a new users, but everything is split into categories, including:

  • Mail
  • Logs
  • Files
  • Domains
  • Security
  • Preferences
  • And More!

All the categories are collapsible and expandable, making it easy to customize the look of your front page. Along with the categories, you can use the search function to help you find an option within cPanel.  On the other hand, DirectAdmin only uses three main sections, which are: Email Management, Advanced Features and Your Account.  This may seem like it’s easier, at first, but it becomes difficult if you don’t know what you’re looking for within the admin area.

The Final Verdict – DirectAdmin vs cPanel

When looking at DirectAdmin vs. cPanel, there’s a clear winner: cPanel. This battle is one many have discussed and while both cPanel and DirectAdmin are great choices, cPanel is better for beginners and provides more customization for advanced users.

Nigerian Firm With Dutch Holdings To Acquire Top US Domain Company

NameSilo finds buyer as debt payments loom

Company enters into non-binding letter of intent to be sold to Dutch operating company building a large presence in Africa.

Domain name registrar NameSilo  (CSE:URL) has entered into an agreement to be sold to a Dutch company that has grand plans in Africa.

WGH Holdings B.V. has entered into a non-binding letter of intent to acquire the company. It will pay a total of US $30 million for the company, with $15 million upfront and $5 million annually for three years. It has a 60-day due diligence period.

The buyer WGH Holdings B.V. was organized in the Netherlands in November. According to filings with the country’s Chamber of Commerce, it is owned by Roland Vos Beheer BV, which has a sole shareholder, Roland Vos.

NameSilo CEO Kristaps Ronka told Domain Name Wire that this ownership structure is not final and that WGH Holdings was set up to put NameSilo together with the actual business, which is a growing domain name and hosting business in Africa. Nigerian entrepreneur Ayodeji Adewunmi operates WGH.

WGH operates WhoGoHost, which the company says is the market leader in Nigeria. According to a document Ronka shared with DNW:

WGH is now the clear market leader in Nigeria. The mandate is to become #1 in webhosting and domain names in 11 African countries by 2023, tagged P-11 (priority 11 countries). These 11 countries (Angola, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, Sudan, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia) are critical for the following reasons: scale of population, growth and economy, combined population of over half a billion (500 million), GDP of over a trillion US dollars (US$1 Trillion), and GDP growth, average of 6.5%. WGH is also pursuing a new line of business in domain Registry and now in an advanced stage of negotiations to take over the DotCV (.CV) Registry for Cape Verde which has the revenue potential to generate between US$65-100m annually within the first 5 years.

While NameSilo has grown significantly since being acquired by current management in 2018, it has also struggled to make large debt payments. Its parent company NameSilo Technologies Corp  includes going concern warnings in its financial statements. It has frequently entered into amended agreements with its creditors to delay payments. As of September, it still owed CAD $7.6 million.

Ronka told Domain Name Wire that the deal was not due to the debt load and that it is selling at 1.2x revenue to a strategic partner. He noted that NameSilo’s current management is staying on with the new company.

NameSilo has over 3.5 million domains under management.

NameSilo doubles in size in just one year, crosses 2 million domains in 2018

Registrar that was acquired earlier this year is growing at a fast clip.

Domain name registrar NameSilo has doubled its domains under management in about a year, according to data published by the registrar. It now has 2 million domains under management (DUM).

The registrar hit one million domains on August 22, 2017. It has 2,004,656 as of the time of writing.

In addition to providing a total count, NameSilo breaks it down by top level domain name. This adds some credibility to the numbers, as it’s not stuffing cheap new top level domain names to grow its DUMs. Nearly 75% of its registrations are .com. .Net, .org and .info round out the top four.

Inexpensive domains fall in line after that but represent a small percentage of the domains.

Brisio Innovations, a Canadian investment firm, acquired NameSilo earlier this year for $9.5 million plus undisclosed earnouts.

Accounting firms can now apply for .CPA domains dotifi.com

Firms can now apply for domains similar to their company name.

A picture of a tax return from 2019 and a mileage log with the word ".CPA" in yellow lettersAmerican Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and its CPA.com unit have launched an application process for early access to .CPA domain names.

This process is different from sunrise and a separate non-Trademark-Clearinghouse trademark phase the organization is running.

Only CPA firms — not individual Certified Public Accountants — can apply during this early phase. Applicants who get a .CPA domain prior to general availability must put the domain to use by, at minimum, forwarding the domain to their existing website.

Applications for this phase must be received by October 31, 2020. The phase is only for registering domain names similar to the firm’s name, not generics like tax.cpa.

Domains will be allocated on a “systematic logic-based process”, according to the .CPA website. I inquired with a support agent about what this process is. The agent told me:

We have a process that we can’t share due to manipulation of the process. Please just choose domains that are most similar to your own.

It will be interesting to see how applications for the same name will be allocated.

Non-premium domain names cost $225 per year.

General Availability for .CPA begins January 15, 2021. At that point, any licensed CPA can register a domain.

The Animal That Can live forever ! Nigeria’s Oldest Animal is ? www.lion.i.ng

Nomura’s jellyfish is a very large rhizostome jellyfish, in the same size class as the lion’s mane jellyfish, the largest cnidarian in the world. It is edible but not considered high quality. It is the only species in the monotypic genus Nemopilema.

Nigeria’s royal tortoise said to have lived to the age of 344 in Oyo state

A royal palace in Nigeria has announced that its resident tortoise has died following a short illness, saying it was a remarkable 344 years old.

The tortoise, named Alagba, meaning elderly one, lived in the palace of Ogbomoso in Oyo state.

BBC Yoruba’s Abdulwasiu Hassan said Alagba had at least two personal attendants to see to her needs and would eat only twice a month.

She was thought to have healing powers and attracted visitors from far and wide.

The revered reptile was apparently brought to the palace by the kingdom’s third leader, Isan Okumoyede, who reigned from 1770 to 1797.

However, Isan Okumoyede reigned just over 200 years ago. This means the tortoise would have already been 100 when she was found, for her to have reached the grand old age of 344

This tortoise was born in 1777. Jonathan, a Seychelles giant tortoise living on the island of Saint Helena, is reported to be about 189 years old, and may, therefore, be the oldest currently living terrestrial animal if the claim is true. Harriet, a Galápagos tortoise, died at the age of 175 years in June 2006.

Galápagos tortoises are noted to live over 150 years, but an Aldabra giant tortoise named Adwaita may have lived an estimated 255 years

Can elephants live up to 70 years?
Elephants can live up to 70 years in the wild. The truth, however, is that few reach that age. According to a 2008 study published in the journal “Science,” African elephants live a median of 56 years in the wild, while Asian elephants live about 41.7 years.

Which animal has no brain and heart?
jellyfish
jellyfish has no ears or eyes or nose and no brain or heart! They do not even have a head. Their body is almost totally made of water and is soft having no bones at all. Jellyfish are invertebrate animals because they do not have a spine or backbone.

10 Cool things you didn’t know about jellyfish

1. Jellyfish are the oldest multicellular animals on the planet

Jellyfish

Scientists have discovered jellyfish fossil snapshots in rocks believed to be more than 500 million years old. That makes them even older than dinosaurs!

2. Jellyfish don’t have brains

Jellyfish

They don’t have a heart, lungs or a brain either! So how does a jellyfish live without these vital organs? Their skin is so thin that they can absorb oxygen right through it, so they don’t need lungs. They don’t have any blood so they don’t need a heart to pump it. And they respond to the changes in their environment around them using signals from a nerve net just below their epidermis – the outer layer of skin – that is sensitive to touch, so they don’t need a brain to process complex thoughts.

3. A jellyfish is called a Medusa

Jellyfish often look like a bell with tentacles all around the edge or hanging off the bottom. The shape of this bell is called a medusa because it looks like the evil Medusa in Greek mythology – a woman who had offended the goddess Athena who then changed her hair into snakes and made her face so hideous it turned people into stone. Medusa is also the word for jellyfish in many other languages including Greek, Hebrew and French.

4. Jellyfish can clone themselves

Imagine if you could just split in half and create a second version of yourself? If you cut a jellyfish in half, the pieces of the jellyfish can regenerate and turn into two new jellies.

5. Some jellyfish have teeth

Jellyfish have teeth

Photo: T3 Media/Nat Geo

The beroid comb jellyfish has hundreds of rows of “teeth” made of tiny hairs that can pierce, tear and pull their prey into their stomachs.

6. Jellyfish have gone into space

Photo: Howard Hall

In 1991, moonfish jellyfish travelled into outer space on the Space Shuttle Columbia so that scientists could examine how microgravity affected them. The jellyfish multiplied in space. When they came back to Earth, the scientists discovered that the space-born jellyfish couldn’t figure out how to deal with gravity.

7. Jellyfish never get tangled

Even though some jellyfish have very long tentacles, they never get tangled up or sting them. That’s because the tentacles are very slippery and only sting other species of jellyfish.

8. Jellyfish can have super long tentacles

CC0 Public Domain

The lion’s mane jellyfish is the world’s largest jellyfish species. It can have tentacles that are over 27 meters long – longer than the size of the blue whale which is the biggest mammal in the world!

9. Jellyfish groups have a really awesome name

A bunch of jellyfish underwater

You might think that a gaggle of geese, a murder of crows, or a clowder of cats sounds interesting, but jellyfish groups have even better names. A group of jellyfish – which can include up to 300,000 jellyfish – is called a “bloom,” a “swarm” or a “smack.”

10. There’s not much to a jellyfish

Jellyfish are between 85% and 98% water. If they wash up on the beach they’ll almost disappear as their water evaporates.
